Chas Kestermeier, SJ, is from Milwaukee, and joined the Jesuits immediately after graduating from high school in 1962. He was in formation in Minnesota, St. Louis, at Creighton Prep in Omaha and in France before being ordained in 1975. He then completed a doctorate in French Literature at the University of Wisconsin before returning to Prep for another 14 years and then moving on to Creighton University, where he taught French and then English, specializing in Ancient Literature and Basic Composition. He retired from the classroom in May of 2020, and since then he has been concentrating on sacramental supply to parishes and schools as well as being a chaplain in one of Creighton’s residence halls and helping with community life. We look forward to welcoming Fr. Kestermeier on Thursday evening and hope you'll join us!
