Father Harry Buse was born in 1950 to a faith-filled farm family near West Point Nebraska, one of nine siblings. He was ordained by Archbishop Daniel Sheehan on July 2, 1977 at his home parish of St. Mary in West Point. Since ordination, he has served at St. Columbkille Parish in Papillion, St. Pius X, St. Margaret Mary and St. Leo Parishes in Omaha, St. Bernadette Parish in Bellevue, St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Neligh (with a mission of St. Theresa in Clearwater), and Sacred Heart Parish in Norfolk.

Over the years, Father Harry has served in several Archdiocesan committees and ministries, including Teens Encounter Christ, Catholic Engaged Encounter and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Father Buse retired in 2021 and currently resides at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha.
